Chemeron-Lamu is a property on Lamu Island, lying between Lamu town and Mokowe, with strategic access to the Manda Bay channel. The property has a lot of potential. As we plan for developments which we hope will include reverse osmosis water infrastructure, hydroponic agriculture and property development, we are doing so in keeping with our ethos of coexistence with nature for mutual benefit.

We are currently focusing on tree planting, starting with Casuarina trees as pioneers, following with fruit trees for both shade and production. Our aim is to develop clusters of trees with microclimates that will foster undergrowth and eventually cover the whole property.

The property is already home to rich biodiversity, including reptiles, birds and of course lots of land crabs!
