This year was our busiest and most productive yet! 26 years after moving onto Rajwera we’re reaching milestones we could only have dreamed of, while continuing to set the bar higher and higher. This year saw many investments bear fruit, particularly new equipment to advance our long standing minimum tillage and water infrastructure to streamline livestock and so much more. 

To recap 2025, here are some images from what has been a wonderful, hectic and productive year. 

Crops

We were very fortunate to have had good rains this year, which came when we needed it the most! Our bean crops was one of the best we’ve had, and the maize, sorghum and grass all performed well too. We experimented with new trial plots, and the ones that survived the elephant showed promise.

Our new equipment paid dividends in making planting more efficient and effective, we’re looking forward to using all of these new tools in seasons to come.

Livestock

The cattle and sheep continue to thrive, with expanding numbers and exciting new breeds from our AI program. Our deliveries to Choice Meats are consistently of the top quality. This year we also instituted and established controlled grazing in a way that works for our team, our fields and our livestock.

Water

Perhaps the biggest change of all is the new water piping system which we installed this year. This has been an objective since the earliest days on the farm, and the novelty of simply being able to turn a tap on has still not worn off! This change means cattle can be watered without any hassle, that equipment can be cleaned with ease and it opens the potential for many new future initiatives – watch this space!

While all of this is going on, we’re noticing an ever increasing abundance of wildlife, a selection captured here on our nightcam.

As we look forward to 2026, we want to thank our partners and customers, and we look forward to building on the milestones we’ve reached in a wonderful year! Asanteni sana!
